Japanese Buffet Experience

Thinking about what to eat every day can be a challenge, and when I can't decide, I always think of buffets. This time, I went to a Japanese buffet that I frequent. The variety of dishes is incredible, not only offering fresh sashimi but also a wide range of sushi, all of which are super fresh 👍🏻. Their newly introduced foie gras sushi (similar to the popular item at a certain large sushi chain) is particularly noteworthy 🤭🤤. Additionally, they have blueberry foie gras, thick-cut foie gras toast 🤭. There are so many dishes that I can't introduce them all 😬, so here are a few highlights 🤭: ⭐️ Cold Dish Self-Serve Area: Octopus, whelk meat, Chinese salad, chilled shrimp, mussels, etc. ⭐️ Hot Dish Self-Serve Area: Fried items, steamed fish, crayfish, chicken soup, roasted pork belly, suckling pig, dim sum, and more 🤭. ⭐️ À la carte options include a wide variety of sashimi, skewers, and other dishes such as roasted pigeon, grilled lamb rack, abalone in Chinese wine, braised abalone with mushrooms, stir-fried crab with garlic and chili, curry prawns, butter clams, fish maw, papaya stewed in coconut milk, and my favorite—baked durian 🫣🤤. All are unlimited (but make sure you can finish what you order) 😉. On a weekday evening at 8:00 PM, most tables were already occupied, so we were seated at a two-person table. Although the table was a bit small, the staff were very diligent in clearing plates 👍🏻, so it didn't affect the experience much 🤭. We just kept eating and eating 🤭. ⭐️ Here are a few selected dishes to highlight ⭐️: Braised Abalone with Mushrooms 😋 The abalone was tender and smooth, while the mushrooms absorbed the sauce perfectly, making the dish incredibly flavorful. I couldn't resist ordering it twice 🥰. Stir-Fried Crab with Garlic and Chili 😋 This dish was absolutely top-notch 😋. The crab meat was sweet and fresh, and the garlic and chili flavors were perfectly balanced, giving it a slightly spicy and aromatic taste. Seafood lovers must try this 👍🏻. Caramelized Foie Gras Sushi 😋 I was surprised to find the caramelized foie gras sushi, which was a hot-selling item at (XX chain), here 🤤🤤. The combination of sweet caramel and creamy foie gras was amazing, and I couldn't stop eating piece after piece 🫣😈. Butter Clams 😋 After eating cold sashimi, warming up with a hot dish is perfect 😋. The buttery aroma of the soup base paired with the fresh, large clams was a match made in heaven 😋. Curry Prawns 😋 The prawns were fresh and bouncy 👍🏻, with a sweet flavor that paired perfectly with the rich curry sauce, giving it a Thai-inspired taste 😋. Definitely worth trying 👍🏻. Baked Durian 😍 The aroma of durian becomes even more intense after baking 😋. For durian lovers, this is a must-try! ⭐️ Must-Try Mango Sago Drink ⭐️ The mango sago drink was absolutely delicious 😋. It was sweet but not overly so, with a refreshing texture 👍🏻. The chewy sago added a perfect touch, making it an ideal summer drink that lifts your mood. Definitely a must-try 👍🏻👍🏻. Buffets never get boring 😋. With so many options to satisfy different tastes, the meal ended perfectly with desserts and a variety of ice creams, including Haagen-Dazs, and fruits 😍.
