Capture the Sea of Clouds at Wugong Mountain in Ganzhou

For those planning a trip to Wugong Mountain in Ganzhou, here's a practical guide to make the most of your visit. It's recommended to drive to the destination. Exit at the Shangyou toll station and navigate directly to 'Zhufengding' for a direct route to the mountain top, eliminating the need for hiking. It's advisable for experienced drivers with over two years of driving experience to lead the trip, as the road at the foot of the mountain includes sandy paths and the ascent features sharp, uphill turns. Be cautious of cattle on the road and drive slowly in foggy conditions with low visibility. Before your trip, check the weather forecast and cloud maps to choose a day with favorable weather conditions. The drive from Shangyou toll station to Zhufengding takes about an hour and a half. Arriving at around 3:30 AM, as we did, means fewer cars on the road. In summer, the sunrise is around 5:30 AM, allowing for a short nap before enjoying the sunrise. Leaving around 8 AM on a weekday helps avoid peak crowds. For photography enthusiasts, bringing a camera is a must. The mountain offers stunning views, including a starry night sky, sunrise, sea of clouds, and distant mountains. Wearing light-colored clothing enhances your photos.
