Become a Dai girl for a day at Xishuangbanna Manting Royal Garden!

0⃣ Xishuangbanna is scorching hot, with temperatures reaching 36-37°C. All I want in the morning is something icy, and it gets even hotter at noon. Locals generally stay indoors until 3pm, so you'll mostly see tourists out and about during the day. 1⃣ It's easy to find transportation from any hotel to the attractions. 2⃣ Manting Park isn't huge, perfect for a leisurely stroll. It's a great place for photos, especially if you're wearing Dai clothing. 3⃣ The park has scheduled performances, like the Dai King's procession, peacock dance, and elephant show. Make sure to check the times so you don't miss out. 4⃣ There are shops everywhere renting costumes for photoshoots, and the night market has plenty of Dai clothing for sale. Buying or renting an outfit adds to the experience. 5⃣ The Starlight Night Market is enormous, with a huge variety of goods, including the Six Nations Water Market. You can even take a boat tour at night. We were lucky enough to catch a fireworks show – it was beautiful!✔
