It is not far from the city of Kamakura, but once you walk in, it feels like entering another world. The numerous red torii gates extend up the mountain along the stone steps, and the process of climbing up layer by layer feels very ceremonial. Although the shrine is not large, the overall atmosphere is very peaceful. The sound of the wind blowing through the woods mixed with the occasional chirping of birds naturally slowed down the pace. I particularly like this place because it is neither noisy nor crowded, and I can talk to the gods quietly and relax. There are many fox statues in the shrine, some of which are wearing red scarves, adding a cute and mysterious atmosphere.
