Mikan and Kaki picking in Japan

Autumn is a great time for picking mikan (mandarin oranges) and kaki (persimmons) in Japan’s Kansai region. The Katsuragi area is famous for growing kaki and mikan as well. This area is located around the mountain of the same name, Mount Katsuragi, which is partly located in both the Wakayama and Nara Prefectures. This fruit picking activity is available for a fee from late October to December. Reservations are a must!
