Tham Singkhon Temple

Wat Tham Singkhon, Surat Thani Province 🌿It is an ancient temple with a history of more than 700 years. It is assumed that it was built since the Sukhothai period. Inside the temple, there is a large cave that is an important ancient site. Inside the cave, there is a large stucco Buddha statue in the Pa Lelai posture. The cave walls are decorated with stucco patterns of angels, giants, Mother Earth, and mythical animals. The ceiling of the cave is decorated with curled stem patterns and some ceramic tiles. In front of the cave, there is a pagoda that is built to imitate a pagoda from the Srivijaya period, decorated with ceramic tiles throughout. 🏔️Inside the cave, there is a large tunnel that can go through to the back of the cave. The atmosphere inside the cave looks mysterious and magical.
