A Journey to Mang Den with My Soul Mate
The first morning after disembarking from the 14-hour bus ride to Măng Đen, my friend and I were utterly awestruck by the natural beauty that surrounded us. The air was crisp and refreshing, carrying a hint of chilliness. It was a surreal experience.
We decided to kickstart our day with a visit to a local café, and what made it even more special was the ever-changing weather. In the morning, the weather was pleasantly cool, ideal for sipping on a hot cup of coffee. As the day progressed, the skies transformed, and rain showers painted the landscape with a new charm. By evening, a subtle coldness enveloped the area, creating a cozy atmosphere.
One of the highlights of our trip was an adventure-packed day of kayaking at the waterfall. As we paddled downstream, we marveled at the pristine surroundings and the diverse array of indigenous wildlife. The untouched beauty of the place left us speechless, and it felt like we were witnessing a slice of paradise.
What made this trip to Măng Đen even more special was the fact that I was sharing it with my soul mate. We shared laughter, embraced the unexpected weather changes, and created memories that would last a lifetime. Măng Đen had not only captivated us with its natural wonders but also with the bond it strengthened between two friends. This journey was a testament to the beauty of nature and the power of friendship, and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Recommended Vietnamese Mangden Cafe with Indian sensibility
Soc coffee in Mang Den, located in central Vietnam!
It is a quiet and emotional cafe located on the outskirts of Mang Den, about 15 minutes by motorbike from downtown Mang Den.
It is also the place I liked the most in Mang Den, where all the pretty cafes in Vietnam seem to be gathered.
I highly recommend visiting when traveling to central Vietnam.

Locals say the hottest thing right now is Mangden, Vietnam
It is a mountainous region that takes about 8 hours by sleeping bus from Da Nang and Nha Trang in Vietnam. It is a really attractive region with cool temperatures unlike ordinary Vietnam.
It was a really unique place that was hard to tell if it was Vietnam, with a different culture from ordinary Vietnam, and crops unique to the mountainous region.
Among the central mountainous regions, Dalat is already a place where most Koreans go, so I recommend a trip to Mang Den, which is the hottest place in the area!
How to get there
Take a sleeping bus from the central regions such as Da Nang, Quy Nhon, and Nha Trang
(Average time: 8-10 hours)
Prices
It is much cheaper than tourist destinations because it is not yet fully developed into a tourist destination
Travel within the region
Recommended motorcycle rental
Recommended activities
- Cloud hunting (sunrise)
- Pa Si Waterfall
Recommended hotels
Mangdiang Boutique Hotel
About 25,000 won per night
It is a new hotel, so it is really clean and has a good atmosphere

Rừng thông Măng Đen
In the summer, Mang Den shows the four seasons in one day. Like people in Mang Den, many times they are surprised, bewildered, and surprised. Early in the morning, go see the sea of clouds. When the sun rises above the clouds, it's just bright enough without being too bright. Clouds intertwine with layers of mountains, from near to far, below the valley is the village with a few pretty little stilt houses, shy in the mist, next to the trees. By noon, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, the clouds were in clumps like cotton balls, like the clouds in those gibi cartoons. Not a day goes by that I can't help but compliment her because she's beautiful like a painting, like a cartoon.
Chùa Khánh Lâm
The pagoda is located on the road to Pa Sy Waterfall. In front of the temple there is a large parking lot, cars and motorbikes can be parked for free. Entering the temple is also free, there is no charge. The temple is very big and spacious.
From the temple gate, there are many stairs to go up, but each section has a hut to sit and rest so older people can go there. There are many trees on both sides of the road so it is cool.
When we got to the temple, it was quite sunny.
There were many check-in corners around the temple. I went straight down to the waterfall so l stopped by here on my way home. I was quite tired from taking pictures of the entire temple, it's very large.

Mang Den - The second Da Lat
In contrast to the hustle and bustle of Da Lat, Mang Den is quiet, fresh and a bit wild. Mang Den is a suitable place to immerse yourself in and feel nature and there are very few tourists. Everything retains the original beauty of the mountains and forests.
Dalat of Kon Tum
If you want to change the atmosphere and immerse yourself in nature but have been to Da Lat many times and want to change the wind, you should choose Mang Den, about 12 hours away from Saigon by sleeper bus, a new prominent tourist destination in the Central Highlands. With a cool climate all year round and majestic natural scenery, Mang Den attracts tourists with its vast green forests, majestic waterfalls and clear streams. Because it has not been industrialized for tourism, the landscape is still wild and peaceful.
Mang Den - fairyland in Tay Nguyen
Completely different from imagining the sunny and windy land of Kon Tum, Mang Den tourism is likened to a fairyland with a diverse ecosystem and fresh atmosphere that is not inferior to tourist destinations such as Da Lat, Sa Pa. With pure, somewhat simple and rustic beauty, this is a land that promises to bring many outstanding discovery experiences to visitors when visiting.
Specifically, the appropriate times of the year to visit Mang Den:
During the period of Dec - Jan, visitors will also have the opportunity to see peach blossoms blooming at Mang Den, a poetic and impressive place that seems to only be seen when coming to Japan. However, it should be noted that during this time the weather in Winter is quite cold, prone to light drizzle.
If you travel to Mang Den in February, you will see Mimosa flowers and Ban flowers blooming, attracting the whole forest. From March to June, purple myrtle flowers will bloom on every street here.
If you want to see the golden rice fields full of seeds and enjoy the aroma of ripe rice, you can come in June - July.
In August, raspberry and raspberry flower season are equally impressive.
I would like to also recommend Tron (Trốn) homestay, esp for dog lovers. Nứa is cute and so are his bosses ^^
Mang Den Tourism
If you go from Saigon, going to Mang Den for 2 days and 1 night for a change of pace is only over 1 million for all expenses. The air is fresh and cool but the scenery is not yet concreted like Da Lat. Going alone but getting to know new friends. Probably going once a month is enough ☺

Pa Sy waterfall, Mang Den town, nestled in the lush mountains of Kon Tum, Vietnam, is a hidden gem that offers a tranquil escape into nature. It much like the second Da Lat (one of my previous posts). This serene destination captivates with its untouched beauty, cool climate, and a sense of tranquility that rejuvenates the soul.
The picturesque landscapes of Mang Den mesmerize with their rolling hills, dense forests, and pristine lakes. Trekking through the verdant trails reveals hidden waterfalls and breathtaking viewpoints that offer a sense of peace and connection with nature.
For adventure seekers, Mang Den offers thrilling activities such as ziplining, off-road biking, and camping under the starry sky. The crisp mountain air invigorates as you immerse yourself in the beauty of the surrounding wilderness.
Mang Den's allure lies in its pristine beauty and unspoiled landscapes. With limited tourist infrastructure, it offers an off-the-beaten-path escape for those seeking tranquility and a deep connection with nature. Embrace the serenity, immerse yourself in the local culture, and let Mang Den's untouched charm leave an indelible mark on your heart.
