Day trip to Arashiyama- Japan

Getting There - We booked an Uber for four of us from Kyoto Central to Arashiyama, price wise it was about SGD 80 which we felt was quite okay since the ride took around 30 minutes. We went there early, reached at 8.30am and there wasn’t any crowd which was good for photo taking. Attractions - There were plenty to see at Arashiyama, the gorgeous and immersive bamboo forest, followed by a peaceful lakeside at the end of the bamboo forest. Plenty of streets & temples nearby as well. Hotels - N/A Food & Restaurants - We ate mainly street food at the streets outside the bamboo forest. Price was reasonable and taste was really good. Shopping - There were lots of souvenir shops nearby. Be sure to also check out the kimono rental shops! #newyearadventure #japan
