During this time, the water pipes are less likely to freeze, and the chances of seeing the sunrise and sunset are the highest. The cost performance is relatively high! Jinding Youth Hostel is a gray house below the Jinding Taoist Temple complex. Enter the lobby through two large stones after passing through the corridor. There are a total of 40 rooms and 148 beds, all of which are bunk beds. Four rooms have windows, and the rest are windowless. The hotel does not accept reservations. According to the staff, you need to pay first and then book a room. It is usually fully booked on weekends and during peak seasons. Therefore, if you want to see the sunrise, it is recommended to arrive here before noon on holidays to make a reservation, and try to book before 3 pm on regular days. During this time, most shops in Laojun Mountain are closed. The winter in the mountains is cold, and the water pipes are prone to bursting in winter, so there is no hot water and no washing facilities at Jinding from late October to early April of the following year (you need to use the public toilets in the scenic area for the bathroom, so be mentally prepared!). However, basic warmth can still be maintained. The mattress is about 6 cm thick, and each bed has an electric blanket. (If you really want to see the snow and sunrise in winter, the cost performance of Jinding Youth Hostel is still acceptable!) Must-visit place 2: 1866 Cloudscape Star Inn (altitude 1866 meters) Recommended season: Spring and winter (November to April of the following year) to see the sunrise and sunset on Laojun Mountain. Staying at 1866 Cloudscape Star Inn is simply amazing. The rooms have underfloor heating and an outdoor glass room (breakfast is served on the third floor, and it is very rich). When the winter night warms up, lying in bed and watching the starry sky is simply too romantic (very suitable for small teams traveling with children). This inn is located at Zhongtianmen Square. When you see an outdoor elevator, you are there! There are a total of 22 guest rooms, built along the mountain, each room has a unique design, including double rooms and family rooms, and can be booked by the room. Washing is also very convenient, as each room is equipped with a separate bathroom with dry and wet separation. After staying in this inn built in the middle of the mountain, you will feel that it is very worthwhile. The biggest advantage of staying here is that you can see the sunrise without going out in the winter morning (every room has a view). There is a small path behind the inn, and under the guidance of the young lady, you can see the sunset after crossing the mountain in about ten minutes.
