Shuhe is incredibly peaceful, far less commercialized than Dayan, and retains a rustic charm. The host thoughtfully asked about my arrival time and even came to pick me up personally when I got lost. Arriving late at night, I was deeply touched by this gesture—it warmed my heart. - BornWild is a brand under LostVilla, known for its attention to quality and detail. The homestay exudes a hidden Zen-like atmosphere in every corner. - The host tends to a small courtyard, spending two hours daily just watering plants. Late-night guest pickups and early-morning cooking make for a demanding routine. Though BornWild·In the Clouds is in Shuhe, I highly recommend visiting Baisha Ancient Town—a gem beneath the snow-capped mountains that deserves more recognition. - This area is home to the local Naxi people, brimming with authentic life. If it’s your first time in Lijiang and you’re unsure where to stay, I’d suggest Shuhe Ancient Town. It’s close to the Lijiang Romance show, just a 30-minute drive to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and 18 minutes to Baisha Ancient Town. If you prefer tranquility over Dayan’s hustle, Shuhe is perfect—well-equipped and conveniently located for exploring major attractions.
