Our Yunnan trip was truly unforgettable, filled with breathtaking views, comfort and amazing experiences. Kunming welcomed us with blooming flowers, where we stayed in a cozy hotel that had friendly resident cats—a lovely touch after a long journey. Food selection is vast and there are many local eateries to try. In Lijiang, our stay featured a charming balcony overlooking the rooftops of the Lijiang Ancient Town, making every morning and evening magical. Lijiang charmed us with ancient streets and breathtaking views from Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Blue Moon Valley. Shangri-La was the highlight: our guesthouse offered stunning mountain views, warm hospitality, and even friendly dogs that made us feel right at home. Shangri-La stole our hearts with serene horse rides across vast Tibetan grasslands. We also highly recommend booking business class train seats to try our—spacious, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing between destinations admist the busy crowd. Travelling in business class train seats made every journey incredibly smooth, quiet, and comfortable definitely worth the upgrade. Yunnan is ideal for people seeking a romantic, scenic and adventurous getaway filled with peaceful landscapes and cultural touches.
