Lugu Lake / A breathtaking paradise! The clouds of Yunnan are not only floating in the sky but also drifting in the water. If you like tranquility, you can come to Lugu Lake to watch the white clouds flow by and time pass. You can also take a pig trough boat operated by the local Mosuo people to get close to the clusters of white flowers on the water surface. Its scientific name is Potamogeton crispus, and people jokingly call it 'water heartbreaker'. In fact, it does not drift with the waves; its roots firmly grasp the lakebed. Among Yunnan's nine plateau lakes, it is most commonly found in Lugu Lake because only the clearest lake water can retain it.
