Madrid | The traditional street style tapas store in Madrid

El Sur Calle de la Torrecilla del Leal, 12, 28012 Madrid, Spain I found this small Spanish eatery on Timeout. The atmosphere is very charming and cozy, with a laid-back vibe, not overly fancy or extravagant in its decor. I went outside of the typical Spanish dining hours, so the place was empty, but the staff were very friendly. The ham slices were plentiful and not too greasy, especially when paired with small pieces of bread, which was quite nice. The portion of paella was just right for one person, with large, flavorful shrimp that tasted very well-seasoned.
