Maotai Town, located in Lu County, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, China, is a wine town with a profound historical and cultural heritage that I visited recently. This visit gave me a deeper understanding and experience of China's traditional winemaking techniques and culture. When you enter Maotai Town, the first thing that catches your eye is the neatly arranged wineries and wine cellars. The air is filled with the rich aroma of wine, which makes you intoxicated. I visited the brewing process of Moutai. From material selection, fermentation to distillation and aging, every link is full of craftsmanship. Especially in the wine cellar, rows of ceramic wine jars are neatly arranged. After years of aging, these wine jars have witnessed the history and quality of Moutai. In addition, I also visited the Maotai Museum. The museum displays a large number of historical relics and materials about Moutai, from ancient wine-making tools to modern Moutai bottles, showing the development process and cultural heritage of Moutai. Especially those precious historical photos and documents, which made me deeply appreciate the unique charm and historical value of Moutai as the national liquor. The scenery of Maotai Town is also impressive. It is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with beautiful environment and shaded trees. The clear Chishui River meanders through the town. Walking on the quaint streets, with numerous wineries and shops on both sides, one feels as if in an ancient and prosperous wine town.
