The sushi restaurant with incredible value for money.

This time, I visited Sushi Yokota, which has been recommended by Michelin for eight consecutive years. I'm not sure if it's always fully booked, so I made a reservation online in advance to ensure everything went smoothly. As soon as I sat down, I ordered a drink. Since I couldn't finish a whole bottle of sake, I opted for a glass of fruit wine instead! After confirming everything with the staff, the food started to arrive. We began with a light salad to whet our appetites, which was a very sensible arrangement. The chawanmushi here is different from what I've had elsewhere. It's more orange in color, has a lot of egg custard, and the egg flavor is incredibly rich. This was my first time trying this version. Being a bit lazy, I won't describe each piece of sushi individually. In summary, both the white fish and red fish were fresh, and the rice balls were well-formed—not too tight or too loose. However, the chef was a bit heavy-handed with the wasabi, making each piece a bit too pungent for my taste. I think a lighter touch would be better. Seven pieces of sushi, two hand rolls, a bowl of clam miso soup, and a refreshing sorbet made for a very filling lunch. I was definitely satisfied. For all this food, including drinks, the total cost was less than 200 HKD, which is absolutely insane!
