If you come to New York for a visit, I highly recommend going to The Edge! It is the highest outdoor observation deck in the Western Hemisphere. The suspended design and transparent glass floor allow you to overlook the entire New York City and the Hudson River as if you were floating in mid-air. The view is extremely stunning. Especially watching the sunset at dusk is really dreamy and the photos are also great. It is definitely worth a visit!
