A relaxing retreat in Costa Rica, a country rich in nature

While walking through the forest, I spotted a sloth in a tree! It didn't move, but its presence was so powerful that just looking at it somehow soothed me. I was so engrossed in searching for sloths that the hours flew by. In a coastal town, I enjoyed coconut rice with spicy fish stew. It's a combination you won't find in Japan and perfect for the hot weather. At a market in the capital, San Jose, I sampled sweet mangoes and fruit on the spot, and my hands got sticky (lol). What impressed me most was how much the country values nature. With many national parks and protected areas, it's easy to get up close and personal with the flora and fauna.
