Eckernförde, a port town in northern Germany

Eckernförde is a city in the northern part of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It's a quiet, open-air port town! Take the Kiel-Flensburg railway and get off at Eckernförde station. It's about a 10-minute walk to the coast. You can even see the chocolates being made by hand at the nearby candy and chocolate shop, Chocolate Hermann Hinrichs!
