The Seto Ohashi Bridge Line also passes over the Seto Ohashi Bridge, so it seems difficult to take pictures, but there is a point along the way where it curves, so I aimed to take pictures there. This train is the Rapid Marine Liner, which connects Okayama and Takamatsu, and if you make a reservation in advance, you can enjoy the panoramic seats in the front car (separate reserved seat fee required). The train I rode this time was a regular car for which no fee is charged, but the interior has reversible cross seats, so if you can secure a seat, it is very comfortable and a good train for taking pictures.

Stretching 37.3 kilometers in total with a 9.4-kilometer section over the sea, the bridge ingeniously combines three suspension bridges, two cable-stayed bridges, and one truss bridge. To ensure unimpeded ship navigation and maintain harmony with the coastal landscape, the bridge piers were built on five small islands in the sea, forming six interconnected bridges—a remarkable achievement in bridge engineering history. Marugame is very close to Takamatsu. We took a two-day self-drive trip and checked in at most of the famous spots. The road conditions were good, and although it was New Year's, there were more cars than usual, but we could still find parking lots.
