Combined with the meaning of "Tusita", it symbolizes that people can stay optimistic and live a thousand years after going to the paradise! ! ~Big Fish God~ It is an ancient myth passed down from generation to generation in Thailand. It is said that the Big Fish God hibernated for a thousand years in the sea and supported the ridges of the human world. Whenever the Big Fish God turned or moved, it would affect the balance of the three realms. This myth has also been moved into the ancient city. You will definitely find it very spectacular when you visit it in person! ～Universe Buddha Shrine～ The founder of the ancient city was very interested in history and Buddhism. This attraction is also known as the "Vajra Dharma Hall". The architecture combines the characteristics of Buddhism and the Ayutthaya period, and enshrines 38 Buddha statues of the past, present and future✌️ ～Buriram Phrayong Stone Palace～ The history of the construction began in the 10th century AD and was completed in the 13th century AD. The original site was built on a dead volcano. The architecture has a strong Hindu style. Later, after Mahayana Buddhism entered Thailand, it gradually became a Buddhist temple. ～Main ​​Hall of Wat Mahathat, Sukhothai～ Wat Mahathat was built in 1345 and is surrounded by eight pagodas. It was the faith center of the former "Sukhothai Dynasty". The main hall enshrines the Buddha's relics. There is a standing Buddha on each side to guard it, and there are many devout believers with their hands folded 🙏 below, which is very unique! ~Arhat Hall~ There are 18 Arhats, but only 16 of them are enshrined in the hall. As mentioned before, there are only 16 Arhats mentioned in Buddhist scriptures, not the 18 Arhats that were popular in the Tang Dynasty.
