Nanshan Temple is the southernmost temple in China, built with the grandeur of the prosperous Tang Dynasty, and has an excellent geographical location nestled against the mountains and facing the sea. A pier extends into the middle of the sea, where a huge lotus flower rises from the waves. Standing on the lotus throne is a statue of the four-faced Guanyin, with a dignified and solemn appearance.
