Monastery of Santa Maria de las Cuevas - Seville

It is located on the island of Cartuja, which can be reached via the bridge of the same name. The opening of the monastery dates back to the 14th century, when it was built as a monastery for Franciscan monks. The building is built mainly in the Mudejar style. Over many centuries, the monastery has been repeatedly reformed. Since 1997, the Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art and the rector's office of the International University of Andalusia have been located here.
