Shanghai Suburbs | A Leisurely Half-Day in Jinze Ancient Town

The hottest days in Shanghai have passed. To celebrate a friend's new car, we happily decided to drive to the ancient towns around Qingpu. Jinze Ancient Town is a place that hasn't been commercially developed much. Its feature is the preservation of various ancient bridges, some of which can be traced back to the Yuan Dynasty. There are few tourists here, mostly small farm-style restaurants and teahouses, with a few trendy coffee shops. Recommendations: 1️⃣ Beans Coffee A dessert shop specializing in soy milk. We ordered Longjing soy milk, almond tofu, and grapefruit tofu mousse, all of which were delicious! Not too sweet, with a very pure soy milk flavor! 2️⃣ Zhuangyuan Lou Farm-style dishes, the stuffed snails were quite tasty, and the shrimp we ordered were very fresh. It is said that the signature dish is braised river eel, but we didn't order it because there were only a few of us. 3️⃣ Dexian Lai The owner converted his own house into a small shop, with two tables indoors and Pujie Bridge just outside. The owner is quite interesting, leisurely fishing at the door. Coming here for tea is really casual and self-service, perfect for dazing off and chatting. In the evening, we went to Baoguo Temple. Under the afterglow of the sunset, watching the fishermen leisurely casting their rods, it truly is the life one longs for, haha~
