🙏 Every New Year's Eve, the Jade Buddha Temple is surrounded by fences on Changshou Road, Xinhui Road, and Anyuan Road, with three layers in total. 🙏 Before 9 pm, there don't seem to be many people. You can make a reservation online, and volunteers at the entrance will verify your reservation code. You will also receive a bundle of 18 incense sticks. Inside, there are many Shanghai aunties and uncles quietly praying for blessings. 🙏 After 10 pm, more people start to arrive. On the evening of January 28, 2025, the Jade Buddha Temple will hold its annual "Warm New Year's Eve - 2025 Shanghai Charity Gala." At around 11:30 pm, the traditional bell-ringing ceremony will take place. 🙏 It is said that modern people choose to pray to Buddha instead of relying on others or themselves. They choose to burn incense instead of working hard.
