Hotel Stay Recommendation: Courtyard by Marriott Shanghai Central

Hotel Facilities: For under 500, we got upgraded to a Preferred Deluxe Room. This property doesn't have a lounge, and the mini-bar drinks are sometimes available. Standard rooms are about 34 sqm, while corner rooms with bathtubs are slightly larger. The second floor has a gym (no pool) and meeting rooms. Breakfast the next day was quite generous for this price range, with a good selection at the noodle station. The staff were very friendly, greeting every guest as they left after their meal. Breakfast is served at the 1st-floor restaurant, mainly Chinese-style with noodles, small wontons, and DIY savory soy milk (highly recommended!). Western options include bread and oatmeal. Honestly, this Courtyard feels more like an upgraded Fairfield~ No executive lounge or Happy Hour! Which is quite rare among Courtyard properties~ Fortunately, both the service and rooms were very satisfying.
