Shanghai Qinggu Art Museum

Shanghai Qinggu Art Museum is located at No. 2888 Cao'an Road, Jiading District, within the Jiangshangqiao Cultural Park. It is a non-profit cultural and artistic institution that integrates calligraphy and painting exhibitions, traditional Chinese art training, and cultural leisure activities. Upon entering the museum, visitors are immediately greeted by a distinctive ceramic art world, where uniquely shaped porcelain works serve as landscape features, creating a unique artistic atmosphere. The main building features a classical Huizhou-style courtyard design, exuding tranquility and depth. The construction materials are carefully selected: the exhibition walls are built with century-old bricks, the display cabinets are crafted from aged wood, and the floors are paved with vintage blue bricks, allowing visitors to feel the traces of time as they walk through the space. The museum specializes in ceramic art, collecting, preserving, and showcasing contemporary Chinese ceramics, calligraphy, and traditional Chinese paintings. Since the establishment of its new venue in 2019, it has hosted nearly a hundred exhibitions of various scales, including national ceramic invitation exhibitions and woodcut print exhibitions. Additionally, the museum regularly organizes lectures, workshops, and intangible cultural heritage projects. It serves as an off-campus teacher training base for the Shanghai Education Commission, a patriotic education base for Jiading District, and a social practice base for primary and secondary schools, playing a significant role in cultural heritage and dissemination.
