|A haven without guys. After quitting my job last month, I felt restless and came to Shanghai alone to unwind. I just wanted a safe, convenient, and hassle-free place to stay, so I chose a female-only hostel. Turns out, its location and environment genuinely healed me. First, the location is unbeatable! Just 200 meters left from the entrance is a subway station with connections everywhere. The best part? It's only two stops from Shanghai Railway Station. On my last day, dragging my suitcase to catch a train took just 20 minutes—no stress at all. Want to visit Jing'an Temple? A 10-minute subway ride gets you there, as easy as visiting a neighbor. For someone like me who hates planning routes but loves spontaneous outings, this convenience was a lifesaver. The ambiance is also refreshing. Stepping inside feels more like a cozy café than a hostel. The lobby is clean and aesthetically pleasing, with greenery, warm lighting, wooden tones, and stylish decor. The staff (a sweet front-desk girl) spoke softly, checked me in quickly, and casually pointed out the water dispenser and microwave in the common area: "Help yourself if you need to heat food or get water." This no-nonsense efficiency was just what I needed. The room continued this comfort. The beds were tidy, and though compact, the layout was smart. Most importantly—it was quiet! My roommates were considerate, moving quietly at night. With the blackout curtains drawn, I barely heard any noise from outside or the hallway. For several nights, I slept deeply, and the tension from quitting my job faded significantly. In summary: Safe (female-only), central (200m to subway + near the train station + close to Jing'an Temple), beautiful and cozy environment, plus quiet for good sleep—for someone like me who quit their job and just wanted to relax and occasionally wander, this was money well spent.
