In Dough We Trust is a small shop that’s very easy to find. With large windows and views of the street, there’s a long bench outside of the shop that’s often filled with people waiting for their turn to enter. The interior is cozy and makes you feel as if you’ve taken a step into Amsterdam. There are probably enough tables and chairs for five to six people inside, in addition to some extra seats at the bar. If you’d like to sit inside and are willing to wait, the owner will take down your phone number and give you a call when a space opens up. This’ll give you some time to explore the other shops nearby. Perhaps the most popular item at In Dough We Trust is the tiramisu, which has an excellent balance of bitter cocoa and sweet cream. It’s not too rich and is the perfect accompaniment to any drink. We also recommend the red velvet cake, mulled wine, and brewed passionfruit, a drink we haven’t really seen anywhere else.
