I was impressed by the cherry blossoms along the Nijukken Road Sakura-namiki in Shizunai, Hokkaido❗️ Shizunai is famous as a major horse breeding area, but it is also famous for the cherry blossoms along the Nijukken Road Sakura-namiki. Cherry trees are planted on both sides of the straight road that stretches for about 7 kilometers, and the distance between the cherry trees on both sides is about 20 ken (about 36 meters), which is why it got its name. It has also been selected as one of the 100 Best Cherry Blossom Spots, 100 Best Roads in Japan, and a Hokkaido Heritage Site. Most of the cherry trees are mountain cherry trees, and more than half are said to be nearly 100 years old.
