Quanzhou

Trip in March 2024. I've wanted to visit Quanzhou for a long time, and this year, it finally happened. According to the hotel staff and taxi drivers, the number of visitors has surged this year. The cultural and tourism promotion has likely played a significant role. Kaiyuan Temple, Chengtian Zen Temple, Tianhou Palace, Guanyue Temple, Confucian Temple, Qingjing Temple, Shaolin Temple, and the mysterious ancient observatory that I stumbled upon on the road, among others, are all worth visiting. Most places are close to each other, making the tour quite convenient. It's also a delightful surprise to occasionally encounter young and beautiful girls wearing hairpins on the street. The museum is the fastest way to understand a city. Before going, I watched a documentary called 'Return to the City of Caltrop', which gave me a preliminary understanding of the city. A convergence of various cultures, it's a place of diversity that is inclusive and open. Having always lived in the north, this was my first time traveling so far south, and the street scenes everywhere attracted me. If I have the chance and time, I hope to explore more.
