Angkor Wat in the rainy season

Visited on September 13, 2023. We visited Angkor Wat → Ta Prohm → Bayon (Angkor Thom) in that order from 12:00 to 16:00. I heard that it would be a good idea to go to the Angkor National Museum in advance, so I visited in the morning (although I only stayed for about an hour). There isn't much to see, but it's worth visiting if you don't know much about the history of Angkor Wat. You can listen to audio commentary in Japanese for a fee. It's a shame that most of the Buddha statues in Angkor Wat were decapitated due to the destructive activities of the Khmer Rouge during the Cambodian Civil War, but Angkor Wat from the front has a solemn atmosphere and is worth visiting at least once. I had the impression that there were a lot of tourists at Ta Prohm, probably because there are many places that look good on Instagram. I visited during the rainy season, so I think rain gear is necessary. Some of the ruins have narrow entrances, so I felt that a raincoat would be better than an umbrella. I recommend Workman because you can get fashionable raincoats at a low price. The distances we had to travel would have been quite tiring if we hadn't used a tuk-tuk, so it's probably better to use a tuk-tuk or taxi. It seems that some taxis are rip-offs, so it's better to arrange one through the hotel. In our case, the whole trip from the hotel was 15 USD for two people. There were a lot of stray dogs on the roads (we saw about 20 or 30 in three places), and some parts were unpaved, so I thought it would be difficult to ride a bicycle.
