Angkor Wat is truly a cultural wonder of the world and it is the largest religious structure in the world. Be awed by every single temple and admire the intricate carvings. One of the most fascinating places I have ever travelled to. Getting There - Recommend hiring a tuk tuk driver for a day. I went to Angkor Wat for two days, one day to complete the grand circuit and one day for small circuit. Key Highlights/ Must-See: 1. Angkor Wat Highlights - This is the main highlight of the entire Angkor temples. It is a spectacular Hindu temple and largest of the Angkor temples. You can see lively stone carvings from Hindu epics inside the temple walls. 2. Bayon Temple Highlights - Another iconic temples is Bayon where there are many colossal stone faces smiling down from 54 towers that rise out from the upper terrace. 3. Ta Prohm Highlights - You might have seen this in the Tomb Raider movie. There is a tall towering old tree in this temple, which adds to the mysterious atmosphere. 4. Pre Rup Highlights - This temple is unique and different from the others as it had a unique orange colour.
