Wake up in a castle on the shores of Lake Thun, Switzerland.

🍃 Staying at the 19th-century castle hotel, Schloss Schadau, feels like stepping into a fairy tale. Overlooking Lake Thun from the balcony and "waving" to the tourists on the lawn, I felt a strange sense of being a queen. 🍃The castle has only nine rooms, so it is recommended to book 2–3 months in advance. We booked the TOWER SUITES LAKE VIEW room type, which was very spacious (Figure 7). The suite has a separate study (Figure 8), which is a big plus. It's suitable for my partner, who needs to attend meetings at 5am, as it doesn't disturb our rest. 🍃The restaurant on the first floor is quite good, a breath of fresh air in Switzerland. We stayed there over the weekend and saw many local guests coming to dine. Compared to dinner, breakfast was a bit monotonous. Managing expectations is important.
