Huanglong, a beautiful paradise on earth

Notes: ① Pre-purchase your scenic area tickets through the official WeChat mini-program before your trip. Crowds are limited at the scenic area, so grabbing tickets is absolutely essential during peak season. ② Transportation: Considering time and cost, we chose the high-speed rail, which takes less than two hours from Chengdu to Huanglong Jiuzhaigou Station or Songpan Station. Both stations offer shuttle buses or public transport to Huanglong Scenic Area. Buses are cheaper than shuttles, but they run less frequently. ③ Free luggage storage is available near the scenic area's visitor center. This is very useful for tourists, as most visitors combine a trip to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area and stay overnight. The morning of our trip was cloudy, but the weather improved by midday. We were fortunate to be able to experience Huanglong, a paradise on earth, under clear skies, instantly dispelling the year's bad luck. We purchased additional bus tickets to the mountain, but not the sightseeing bus tickets (limited to 5,000 people). Although this meant an extra hour of walking up the mountain, it also allowed us to alleviate altitude sickness and enjoy the scenery along the way. There are pros and cons to both. It's a rare opportunity to visit Huanglong, and it's perfect for a leisurely stroll! Savor the beauty of the limestone (karst) terrain, the majestic mountains, the towering pines, and the waters that refract the sunlight in different ways! Huanglong is truly beautiful everywhere! 😍 We walked down the mountain (you can also buy a bus ticket) and stopped frequently to take photos. Before we knew it, we'd already walked for over 6-7 hours, and we had to hurry up to get down before the scenic area closed. Only after leaving the scenic area did we realize we hadn't even eaten lunch that day! #HuanglongScenicArea
