Visit Sukhothai Historical Park

It is 12 km from Sukhothai City Hall on the Sukhothai-Tak Highway, Highway No. 12, heading west. The main road cuts through the city from east to west. When you pass through the old city area, you will see the tops of various majestic pagodas and sacred temples. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The entrance fee is 20 baht per person. Sukhothai City Wall is located in Mueang Kao Subdistrict. It is a rectangular wall with 3 layers of earth. The earth was dug up to fill the wall. The excavated ground was used as a moat for use and a 2-layer water wall. The wall from the north to the south is 2,000 meters long. The west side is 1,600 meters long. There are 4 city gates: the north side is called "Pratu Sala Luang", the south side is called "Pratu Namo", the east side is called "Pratu Kamphaeng Hak", and the west side is called "Pratu Or". Outside the city wall within a radius of 5 km, there are approximately 70 ancient sites built in Buddhism and Brahmanism. They have been restored by the Fine Arts Department. And was established as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. Traveling to the park from Sukhothai town, tourists can take the Old City bus (songthaew) that stops around the bus stop near the police station, about 200 meters from the Yom River Bridge on the west bank. Buses leave every 20 minutes, with a fare of 5 baht per person, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. every day.
