Kairakuen in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture, was created in the Edo period by Nariaki Tokugawa, the 9th head of the Mito family.
It is famous as a representative plum attraction in the country, and during the plum season, tourists from all over the country visit to see nearly 3,000 plum trees of about 100 species. In addition, the sidewalk is well maintained, so it is easy to walk, and you can see the plum blossoms in the garden from various angles.
