Visit Sulfur Valley

Sulfur Valley Geothermal Scenic Area in Yangmingshan National Park boasts a rich geological environment of igneous and sedimentary rocks. Nearby attractions include Longfeng Valley and Huangxi Hot Spring Trail. After a tiring walk or play, you can relax at the foot bath area. The hot spring here is an acidic sulfate spring, enriched with sulfur compounds due to underground heat activity. The water appears yellowish-white and has a sulfur smell, commonly known as 'white sulfur.' The spring temperature ranges from 40 to 60°C, with a pH value between 3.2 and 4.6, making it a perfect spot for family enjoyment. I was lucky enough to spot a Taiwan blue magpie (Photo 8) resting on a tree for a long time, allowing me to take plenty of pictures.
