Sanban Honke: Flavors Intact Despite Service Decline

The Sanban Honke restaurant, located on B3, is renowned for its premium hot pot and sukiyaki dishes. A few years ago, I was amazed by the flavors brought out by their high-quality ingredients and had always wanted to revisit. While the traditional Japanese-style cuisine remains delightful, the quality of tableside service has significantly declined, which is quite disappointing. 💫 To experience the diverse flavors of Japanese hot pot, I opted for both a shabu-shabu and a sukiyaki set. The natural flavors of wagyu beef and seafood were well-preserved, and the savory sukiyaki beef paired with rice was so delicious it made me want to twirl with joy💕. However, the entire process was self-service, a stark contrast to the past when there was dedicated tableside service that made dining feel truly luxurious. 💫 I understand the global labor shortage, so seeing many Southeast Asian workers in high-end restaurants is no longer surprising. I also try to empathize with the inexperience of newcomers. However, for a set meal that costs nearly $5000, I can find restaurants that offer both excellent service and great flavors😉.
