Shanxi Ancient Architecture Museum

Shanxi Ancient Architecture Museum was established on April 13, 2020, and opened in Taiyuan Chunyang Palace. The reorganized Shanxi Ancient Architecture Museum is still located in Taiyuan Chunyang Palace. Relying on Shanxi's rich above-ground cultural relic resources and the exhibition space of Taiyuan Chunyang Palace, the museum studies and displays the history, art, and technology of ancient architecture in Shanxi. The museum's collection of cultural relics focuses on Buddhist statues from past dynasties. The exhibition hall covers an area of 800 square meters, with more than 20 exhibition rooms, and is home to the "Stone Carving Art Exhibition", which displays stone carvings from the Han to Qing dynasties; the "Taoist Cultural Relics Exhibition", which displays Taoist sculptures and introduces the history of Taoism from one side; the "Treasures of the Sea Exhibition", which displays bronze treasures selected by Taiyuan Copper Factory in the 1970s; and the "Ceramic Art Exhibition", which displays ceramics from past dynasties.
