🌸 Amano Iwato Shrine Amano Iwato Shrine is a legendary site in Japan where 8 million deities are said to have gathered for a meeting. At the center of the shrine is a cave called Amano Yasugawara, which houses the Amano Iwato Shrine. Visitors often stack small stones around the shrine to make wishes. Seeing so many stacked stones for the first time is truly a spectacular sight! 🤣 🌸 Takachiho Railway This scenic train ride covers a 5.1-kilometer round trip and takes about 30 minutes. Departing from Takachiho Station, the train passes through tunnels and forests, offering breathtaking views of Takachiho's cityscape. The journey ends on a 105-meter-high railway bridge. Along the way, the conductor enthusiastically explains the sights, though it's all in Japanese, so I couldn't understand much! 😂 There are also light effects and bubbles at the end of the ride, creating a delightful atmosphere. It's worth experiencing for yourself! 😜 🌸 Takachiho Shrine Takachiho Shrine is the main shrine among the 88 shrines in Takachiho and was established around 1,900 years ago. It has a rich history and enshrines deities associated with agriculture, matchmaking, traffic safety, and disaster prevention, attracting numerous worshippers. The shrine grounds feature an 800-year-old "Chichibu Cedar" and the famous "Married Couple Cedars," known for their connection to matchmaking. Additionally, the shrine hosts nightly "Takachiho Kagura" performances in its Kagura Hall, drawing both locals and international tourists. The serene atmosphere during the visit left me feeling very peaceful—highly recommended! 🌸 Takachiho Gorge Takachiho Gorge is a designated scenic spot and natural monument, beloved by tourists, travelers, and professional photographers alike. The highlight of the gorge's natural beauty is the "Manai Waterfall," a symbol of Takachiho Gorge, exuding a mystical and refined charm. If you want to go boating, be sure to book in advance. However, simply walking through the gorge and soaking in the beauty of nature was already incredibly satisfying for me. A one-day trip to Takachiho is a leisurely way to explore and connect with nature. Highly recommended! 😎
