People’s Park 🍵

We were there on a heavy summer afternoon, when People’s Park seemed to move at the pace of the heat itself. Beneath towering shade trees, locals settled into bamboo chairs, their conversations drifting lazily over the soft clack of mahjong tiles. We sipped fragrant jasmine tea from clay cups, the kind that stays warm even as time stretches on. The lotus pond nearby was a slow shimmer of green and pink, while cicadas kept up their endless chorus.
