Tokyo Chidorigafuchi Cherry Blossom Trip

On April 8, after being a "Mount Fuji refugee" for a day yesterday, the weather finally cleared up today! My roommate and I booked a trip to see the cherry blossoms at Chidorigafuchi in Tokyo. This is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in Tokyo, with Somei-Yoshino cherry trees planted along both banks of the moat, creating a pink and white corridor when in full bloom. When we arrived at noon, there were already many tourists lining up to rent boats. We booked online in advance for JPY 500, which was expensive, but it was worth it to be able to see the cherry blossoms up close on the river. While boating, petals occasionally fell on us. I kept taking pictures with my camera while trying to row and control the direction. Occasionally, we bumped into other people's boats, and everyone would smile and apologize to each other. Many Japanese office workers and tourists on the shore were chatting while taking pictures. When the wind blew, the cherry blossoms fell like snow, landing in our drinks. My roommate said it was "cherry blossom-flavored seasoning." Overall, Chidorigafuchi is very suitable for couples or families to visit. You just need to arrive early, otherwise you will have to wait in line for a long time to rent a boat, or book in advance!
