Terrific Tongli Ancient Town

Location: Tongli ancient town in Jiangsu province. Getting there: A one hour drive from Suzhou or Shanghai. Tongli costs about 130 RMB entrance fee. It is worth the money. Spend the day walking along the narrow streets admiring the wonderful traditional architecture. Take a boat ride down the canals and feel like you're in the Venice of the east. Try the many delicious local snacks and buy some souvenirs too. It's really picturesque here and worth the day trip. #tongli
