Whispering Winds and Grassy Tales: A Journey of Milky Fragrance

Just outside Hohhot, the Yili Prairie Dairy Culture Tourism Scenic Area unfolds like a creamy white poem. The prairie stretches like a carpet, carrying the lowing of cattle and the aroma of milk tea in the breeze, as if the entire world is narrating stories about milk. This place not only showcases modern dairy production but also recreates the traditional dairy farming lifestyle of the Mongolian people, allowing me to wander between the modern and the primitive. During my visit to the Dairy Culture Museum, I carefully read the panels detailing the history, production processes, and ethnic customs of dairy products, which greatly broadened my horizons. What touched me the most was the "Mongolian Yurt Living Experience Area." Sitting inside a felt tent, holding a freshly brewed bowl of milk tea, I was greeted with ceremonial khata scarves and accompanied by the gentle melodies of the morin khuur. It felt as though I was embraced by the prairie itself. This journey was not just a tribute to a cup of milk but also a tender reflection on nature, life, and the memories of a people.
