#RainySeasonTourism How to get to Umphang From Bangkok: Drive to Mae Sot (approx. 7-8 hours) then continue to Umphang (164km via winding mountain roads). From Mae Sot: Take a local songthaew (local truck) or hire a private car. The drive takes 4-6 hours along the scenic and curvy 1090 route (1,219 turns!). A 4WD vehicle is highly recommended, especially during the rainy season. Best time to visit Winter (Nov-Feb): Best weather for trekking, rafting and sightseeing. Rainy Season (June-October): Lush landscapes and stunning waterfalls, but rough roads and limited access to some places. Avoid the summer months (March-May) if you are sensitive to heat or forest fire haze. #umphang #umphang
