As the melody of "The Wind Rises" plays, the courage to chase dreams and the yearning for distant lands well up within my heart. Wanning, this treasure city located in southeastern Hainan, is like the distant land in the song, full of the unknown and beauty, beckoning people to explore. In February, while the north is still in the grip of a cold spring, Wanning is sunny, warm, and pleasant. With a longing for the tropical coast, I embarked on this wonderful journey😃. 🔵Best Time to Visit Wanning in February boasts comfortable temperatures between 20℃ and 28℃, with abundant sunshine. During this time, the waves at Shimei Bay are gentle, the aroma of coffee permeates Xinglong, and the surfing atmosphere at Riyue Bay is vibrant. Avoiding the hustle and bustle of peak tourist season, it's the perfect time to leisurely enjoy the charm of Wanning✨. 🔵Itinerary D1: Shimei Bay → Le Méridien Resort (Overnight) Arriving in Wanning in the morning, I headed straight to Shimei Bay. Known as "the most beautiful bay in Hainan," it boasts blue skies, clear waters, and fine white sand. Strolling along the 6 km beach, I felt the sea breeze on my face, the warm, soft sand beneath my feet, and the lush green Casuarina equisetifolia trees in the distance, complementing the beauty of the sea. I found a shady spot, spread out a picnic blanket, and laid out local fruits for a relaxing beach picnic🍍. In the afternoon, I checked into Le Méridien Resort. The hotel is built along the bay, with stylish and elegant rooms. Opening the window revealed breathtaking ocean views. I also enjoyed the hotel's private beach and infinity pool, falling asleep to the sound of waves and swaying coconut trees, pure bliss. D2: Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden → Xinglong Coffee Valley → Hot Spring Hotel (Overnight) In the morning, I visited Xinglong Tropical Botanical Garden, a paradise for plants, home to thousands of tropical and subtropical species. Walking through the garden, I learned about rare plants like cocoa and pepper trees, and tasted freshly ground Xinglong coffee, its rich aroma instantly dispelling any drowsiness. In the afternoon, I went to Xinglong Coffee Valley, where coffee trees cover the hills amidst green mountains and clear waters. I learned about the entire process of coffee production, from planting to roasting, and even got to pick coffee beans myself. In the evening, I checked into a hot spring hotel in Xinglong, soaking in the hot springs to relax and rejuvenate, experiencing the double gifts of nature. D3: Riyue Bay → Return Trip After breakfast, I headed to Riyue Bay, a world-renowned surfing spot, where waves rise and fall, and surfing enthusiasts ride the waves. I rented a surfboard, learned surfing techniques from a coach, and enjoyed myself even as I was repeatedly knocked down by the waves🌊. When not surfing, I watched the experts show off their skills from a beach chair or strolled along the coast, admiring the stunning scenery of coconut trees and the sea. Afterward, I returned home, filled with wonderful memories. 🔵Transportation • By Air: Fly to Haikou Meilan International Airport or Sanya Phoenix International Airport, then transfer to the high-speed rail around the island to conveniently reach Wanning Station. From there, take a bus or taxi to the scenic spots✈️. • By Car: Those who enjoy driving can rent a car for a road trip around the island, enjoying the beautiful scenery of Hainan along the way.
