The Beauty of Xitang Unveiled

Next, we visited Xitang, a charming water village approximately an hour's drive from Wuzhen. Compared to Wuzhen, Xitang is better maintained and attracts a larger number of tourists. The town is famous for its over 100 ancient alleys paved with stone slabs, where visitors can easily lose themselves in exploration. Xitang is also known for its numerous old bridges, offering picturesque views of the scenic river. In Xitang, there are numerous activities to enjoy, from exploring various museums to dressing up in traditional Han costumes for photos against the backdrop of ancient buildings. Visitors can also take a scenic boat ride down the river, offering a unique perspective of the town's beauty. Our day in Xitang was packed with fun and excitement, but it felt too short to fully appreciate everything the town has to offer.
