【Wuhan·Hubei Provincial Museum】Feel the shock of history 🤷🏻‍♂️Take note of a few must-do things when visiting the Provincial Museum (if time allows, you can check out all ten of the 'Treasures of the Museum') 1️⃣The Sword of Goujian, King of Yue: A bronze ware from the late Spring and Autumn period of the Yue State, a Chinese first-class cultural relic, housed on the second floor of the south building of the museum. 2️⃣The Chime Bells of Marquis Yi of Zeng: A set of large ritual musical instruments from the early Warring States period of the Zeng State, a national first-class cultural relic, housed on the second floor of the south building of the museum. 3️⃣The Tiger Seat Bird Rack Drum: A typical musical instrument of the Chu State, one of the largest tiger seat phoenix rack drums unearthed from Chu tombs in China, housed on the third floor of the south building of the museum. 4️⃣Chime Bell Performance: Tickets are 50 yuan each, the performance lasts 30 minutes, and the chime bell concert hall is located on the west side of the basement level of the south building of the museum. The first thing to do when arriving at the Provincial Museum is to head to the concert hall to select seats and purchase tickets. 🏛️The Hubei Provincial Museum is located on the banks of East Lake in Wuhan, established in 1953. It is one of the eight national-level museums jointly built by central and local governments, a national first-class museum, and a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The museum has a total building area of 114,000 square meters, an exhibition area of 36,000 square meters, and displays more than 25,000 cultural relics. 🏛️The Hubei Provincial Museum currently holds over 240,000 items (sets), with nearly a thousand national first-class cultural relics (sets), especially known for its Shang and Zhou dynasty bronzes, Warring States to Han dynasty lacquered woodware, Chu and Han bamboo slips, and gold and jade articles from the tombs of princes from the pre-Qin period and the Ming dynasty. The collection is complete, abundant, exquisite, and has distinct regional characteristics, enjoying a high reputation both at home and abroad.
