2025 Wuhan University Cherry Blossom Viewing Guide

Hey everyone! I spent a whole week in Wuhan just to see the cherry blossoms at Wuhan University. I was on the edge of my seat every day, hoping I wouldn't miss the blooming season. After all, missing it would mean waiting another year. Location: Wuhan University 🚙Transportation: Private vehicles are not allowed on campus. Public transportation is recommended. I entered through the Luojia Gate this time and checked in at the Wuhan University archway. Then I went straight to Cherry Blossom Avenue, the main spot for cherry blossom viewing. Afterward, I visited the Old Dormitory, the 912 Playground (where you can get the same camera angle as Lei Jun), the Administration Building, and Renwen Road. I think the core area is the circle around the 912 Playground, where you can see not only romantic cherry blossoms but also delicate crabapple blossoms. There's a patch of cherry blossoms on Renwen Road and near the Zhuoer Gymnasium. The flowers there are especially beautiful, and most importantly, there are fewer people, making it perfect for taking photos. Walking from Luojia Gate to the archway, you'll see two booths. One sells cultural and creative products like notebooks, badges, fridge magnets, bookmarks, and Wuhan's special "Bird of Peace"—the Suan Bird merchandise. The other booth has small games where you can win Wuhan University badges and postcards. Both booths offer stamps, so remember to bring your own notebook. 💰Tickets: Free, but reservations are required. Search for the "Wuhan University" official account on WeChat, click on "Cherry Blossom Reservation," and enter your information in advance as required to increase your chances of getting a reservation. There are two reservation checks when entering the school, one at the main gate and one at the core area. Be sure to bring your ID card and reservation voucher.
