2 Days in Wuhu – History, Views & Must-Try Local Eats! 🚢🍜

#discoverchina Just spent a weekend in Wuhu, and wow, this city is a vibe! A perfect mix of history, river views, and insanely good food. Here’s how I made the most of 2 days: Day 1: Old Streets & Hidden Gems 🏛️ Kicked off with some local eats at Fenghuang Food Street—so many snacks to try! Checked out the Wuhu Catholic Church, a stunning old European-style building. Wandered through Yugeng Mountain & Fanluo Mountain—great views, peaceful atmosphere. Explored the British Consulate Buildings, a cool piece of history tucked in the city. Ended the day in Wuhu Ancient City, strolling through historic streets. Day 2: Parks, River Rides & More Food 🚢🌿 Started with a relaxing walk in Zheshan Park & Cuiming Garden—so lush and pretty. Visited Guangji Temple, one of Wuhu’s oldest temples. Took a scenic Yangtze River Ferry Ride and soaked in those river views. Stopped by Old Wuhu Customs House & Jinghu Park for some history and lake vibes. What You HAVE to Eat in Wuhu 🍽️ 🔥 Shrimp Roe Noodles – Seriously, so umami and rich! 🦀 Crab Roe Soup Dumplings – Bite carefully, they’re juicy! 🍜 Braised Pork Noodles – Spicy, flavorful, comfort food heaven. 🍤 Taoxin Freshwater Shrimp – Fresh, simple, delicious. 🧀 Wuhu Fermented Tofu – Strong flavors but a local favorite.
